POS stands for point of sale, and it refers to a transaction performed between a customer and a business. While the cash register was the most common POS model in the past, there are many different POS systems available today, including mobile POS, web-based POS, iPad POS, self-service kiosks, and more.

What should I do if my POS goes down?
Give us a call right away. We offer 24/7 support, and our average response time is less than 51 seconds. When you join our Miles Assurance Plan, you will have a handful of team members on your account who will get to know your business and technologies to provide you with effective solutions and resolve any issue fast. We also have regional field technicians ready to go out to your site if necessary to troubleshoot your POS system and determine a solution.
Do you offer self-checkout options?
Yes, as demand grows for self-checkout, we wanted to ensure our customers had a way to offer touchless self-checkout options in their stores. This need has only grown with COVID-19 and social distancing requirements. We have helped a number of our customers, including Henning’s Market in PA, install self-checkouts to create a safer shopping experience.
What if I want to use some of my own hardware?
LOC is hardware agnostic. If you already have a tablet you want to use or own peripheral equipment, we can work with you to determine if you can use your own hardware as part of your POS solution. We will ensure anything you provide is functional and fulfills your POS system’s hardware requirements.
